Current challenges that governments face in smoking control – the New Zealand case

The New Zealand Government’s legislation changes is a strong message that smoking-related disease is due to smoke and not nicotine and that it is safer to use smoke-free nicotine products. New Zealand government, as UK, is very progressive on tobacco control―a lot more than many tobacco control academics―and fully embraces a harm reduction approach to smoking. Marewa Glover will present the New Zealand approach and framework, its achievements, and goals.
